The tipping service

At Blue Sky, we strongly advise our members to precisely follow our betting advice in order to give them the best chance possible of seeing a healthy profit. Level stake at all times!

One of the crucial reasons why Blue Sky makes its high level stakes points profit is because it is prepared to swim against the tide of opinion, and this bold tactic is only successful thanks to the consistent flow of accurate inside information we get from our numerous stable contacts allied to our detailed race analysis. Our 6 person tipping team has over 120 years combined experience in horseracing and betting and we recommend that members trust the team’s judgment, regardless of the price of the horse or their personal opinion about the race.

The price of a horse is determined by a combination of the racing press – notably the Racing Post - and Betfair, and the resulting actions taken by the Bookmakers (whose odds compilers pay close heed to both of the aforementioned). We at Blue Sky can often exploit the comparative ignorance of the bookmakers and significant Betfair players to obtain outstanding value, be it on the day and antepost. For example we advised Honolulu for the St Leger at 12/1 back in early August before he had ever run in England. We advised Oedipe at 20/1 for a tough looking handicap at Aintree in 2008 and he won for the service at that price. That's tipping.

"Thanks David. Your advice, backed up by excellent logic had the bookies running for cover as I collected a good four figure sum after taking your advice last week and backed him each way at 20/1"

Kevin Parker, Leeds

Our tipsters realise the importance of successful all year round punting and provide honest, genuine, well-analysed and well-sourced selections, which are proofed in advance to The Racing Post proofing department and to www.besttipping.com. Which can then be accessed exclusively by our members through the club’s daily tipping line* and the website.

"Thanks for this coup David, could we have a few more please? As always, wished I had put more on… After it won!"

Paul Witty, East Yorkshire

On 16th December 2006 we received news that the un-raced SEVEN IS MY NUMBER had been putting in a plethora of good gallops at Pond House Stables before making his debut at Ascot that afternoon. The field for the Bumper was useful and he was widely available to Blue Sky clients at 8/1 throughout the morning and in the lead up to the race. Via the tipping line, we advised members to bet the horse at 8/1 each way. The horse won comfortably and made an increase in the annual Blue Sky level stakes points table of just over 5 points.

On the 10th February 2007 we received news that WELL CHIEF was confidently expected to shrug off an a absence of 658 days and run to near his true ability in the Game Spirit Chase at Newbury. The betting market in the morning was just too good to be true given the nature of the field, which contained only 3 credible contenders; Ashley Brook, Voy Por Ustedes and the Pipe runner. 7/2 was widely available all morning about “Well Chief” with all the major firms and 4.8 was available on Betfair at 11am before David gave the bet out to Blue Sky members at 11.30am. The result was a resounding success for the horse and for our members.

On Monday 16th April 2007 our Lambourn based adviser informed David that Richard Hannon's MAJOR CADEAUX had been beating the year older sprinter ASSET in their recent workouts, which included a trip to Kempton Park. When Asset won the 6f Listed Abernant Stakes at Newmarket two days later we knew we were in business for the Greenham Stakes the following Saturday. Richard Hannon Jnr told Attheraces listeners, when interviewed by Matt Chapman at 12.30 that day, exactly what we had posted on our members' area and on the club lline an hour earlier. The result, Major Cadeaux, advised at 4/1 as an ew bet by David Lyons, romps home a 5 length winner from the favourite DUTCH ART. It is inside information like this which means that this racing advisory service is going to make year on year profits for its clients.

On Friday 29th June 2007 our Southern based member of the tipping team passes on strong insider information to David Lyons that Clive Cox's unraced juvenile DON'T FORGET FAITH had been putting in plenty of eyecatching gallops with both winners and older horses before her debut run at Newmarket. Given out to the service at 11.30am as an each way wager when she was 7/1 with Bet365, she becomes something of an on course gamble into 11/4 before landing the spoils. Making a level stakes points profit for BS clients of 4 points.

When HONOLULU finished third on his racing debut in late May 2007 our in house Irish racing expert pinpoints him as an exciting dark horse from the Aidan O'Brien camp. After winning next time out we decide to start looking forward to his coming to England to compete. We pinpoint his manner of racing allied to his excellent time figures as those of a Group class horse. Hence we put him up for the St Leger in early August before he runs in the Ebor at 12/1. His excellent third to Lucarno at Doncaster is testimony to the team's foresight without us getting unduly arrogant or unprofessionally bigheaded.

On the 8th April 2008 we put up Nick Williams' BESHABAR to win a competitive novice handicap hurdle at his MP of 12/1.

On Saturday 29th March 2008 we put up SANDYZAR at his MP of 8/1 and he romped in at 11/2 and on the same day we put up JAUNTY FLIGHT to win a most competitive looking Mares Only Handicap Hurdle Final at Newbury at her MP of 10/1. And she could be called the winner fully six furlongs from home in testing conditions.

On Friday 4th April 2008 we put up OEDIPE at his MP of 20/1 in a tough looking 3m1f Handicap Chase at Aintree and he could be called the winner a mile from home. That's top class tipping.
